Decades of Care & Concern

More than four decades ago, a program called Reach To Recovery became a part of the American Cancer Society. This support network unites trained volunteers with women and men who are in various stages of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, or recovery. The volunteers, breast cancer survivors themselves, provide comfort, understanding, and hope. To locate a Reach To Recovery program in your area, to volunteer or to make a donation, call 1-800-ACS-2345. For more information, check the ACS web site at www.cancer.org.

Offering Comfort And Hope

For almost 40 years, the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program has been helping women and men cope with breast cancer. Trained volunteers, who are breast cancer survivors, give patients and their families the chance to express their feelings and ask questions.
